  Room was very small and it looks like it has never seen any vacuum cleaner. There's no Wi-Fi inside the room but they have mould inside the bathroom!! They use some fragrances during "cleaning" but you can smell it!! It is unbeliveble but only one person can speak english!! We live in EU in XXI century but the standard is similar to deep Russia in the middle of XX century. I will never come back here for sure!

  A 5 star rating for down to earth value, the warmth of the hotel staff and just a little touch of old style class from.a modest hotel. It's 5 mins walk from El Astrillo train station so easy to get into Santander for 3 Euros return. Also a great arrival point in the Santander area if getting the FEVE train direct from Bilbao which is a truly beautiful railway journey. Plenty of cheery local restaurants and a useful modern laundrette just down the road. We were very happy here for 3 nights. Recommended if you want a few cheap nights near to Santander.
